About a quarter of surviving 1750-1780 American longrifles and most of all "jaeger" rifles had sling swivels. The swivel we offer here was designed by John Bivins and is identical to many originals. Our Front Forestock Swivel should be used in conjunction with either our Trigger Guard Swivel for American longrifles or "jaegers", or with the Sling Button for "jaegers".
