Ft. Meigs Belt Axe

Ft. Meigs Belt Axe

This axe is styled after an original found on the site of Ft. Meigs, the War of 1812 in North West Ohio. It is typical of late 18th and early 19th century belt axes. The straight grained hickory handle comes fit and installed.

The heads are cast out of 4140 or 6150 steel and heat treated. You just need to take a file to them once in a while to keep the edge sharp.

Dimensions: 4 3/8" head with a straight grained hickory handle length of 14" long.
